A Little About Rachel’s Role
Rachel has her Masters in Social Work and is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker with five years of experience in human services. She started in our Outpatient Clinic as a therapist in September 2024 and is excited to have the chance to do group therapy sessions and expand her experience, and witness the power of community. Rachel has experience working in case management with adults experiencing homelessness, behavioral therapy with autistic children, children in intensive in home services, school based therapy in elementary schools, and adults in outpatient therapy and has competencies in CBT, DBT, polyvagal theory and have recently completed a course in internal family systems which she is excited to incorporate into her work with clients. In her new role Rachel is very passionate about incorporating somatic work in addition to talk therapy, especially when working with trauma. She believes it’s so important to learn how our nervous system works and be able to regulate it and hopes to empower people to live emotionally healthy lives through helping them connect back with their bodies and providing a safe space for others to be heard and seen because that can often be where healing begins.
Outside of work Rachel loves practicing yoga and hopes to become a certified yoga teacher one day. She enjoys reading, crafts, getting outside, trying new coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends.
